My husband and I became involved with Our Lady of the Assumption School (OLA) in August 1989, when our older son began kindergarten. Two years later, his brother entered OLA’s kindergarten. Each of them continued attending the school through the eighth grade, which permitted us to enjoy eleven years of partnership with staff and parents within the OLA community, until our younger son graduated in May of 2000. As I was lamenting having to leave this remarkably loving and supportive environment, an opportunity was presented to me; I was invited to become a member of the faculty.
Since the beginning of the 2000-2001 school year, it has been my pleasure and privilege to manage the school’s network and maintain OLA’s Web site; however, my most rewarding responsibility is teaching computer skills and the Newspaper/Yearbook elective class. As an OLA teacher, I am deeply committed to offering valuable resources while providing a safe and mutually respectful environment for our school children. The opportunity to be involved in this ministry is an extraordinary blessing, for which I am profoundly grateful.
