My husband and I strongly believe in the value of Catholic education. We have two daughters who are products of Catholic schools from first grade through college. Both of our daughters are Nurse Practitioners and live their faith in a field that benefits and serves others. They are married with daughters of their own, and two of our granddaughters attend OLA School.
I was blessed to be home with our daughters when they were younger and began teaching when they were in high school. After earning my credential, I only wanted to teach in a Catholic school. I taught fourth and sixth-eighth grades for 15 years at St. Mel School. After leaving St. Mel to help with granddaughters, I taught part-time at St. Francis High School for four years before coming to Our Lady of the Assumption. I wanted to be back in the classroom full-time, and coming to OLA felt as if I were coming home. It is a joy to be teaching seventh and eighth grades in such a loving parish and school community, and I look forward to many more years.
