I am thrilled to be joining the OLA School community this year as a sixth grade teacher. Born and raised in Sacramento, I am already personally acquainted with OLA. As a youth, I received my faith formation education here. Upon my return to Sacramento with children of my own, I exposed my girls to the same. Teaching here at OLA is a familiar experience and a way to stay involved in the Catholic community.
I am a credentialed teacher, receiving my credential from CSUS after a BA degree from UCSB. The bulk of my professional classroom experience was as a sixth grade teacher in a K-8 school in Ripon, CA.
After leaving that position for child rearing purposes, I continued to nurture my passion for working with children. I was a Girl Scout leader and an avid classroom volunteer during my daughters’ elementary school years. In
2009, I began tutoring elementary and middle schoolers.
I look forward to the joy of being back in the classroom full-time at Our Lady of the Assumption School. I know it will be another positive experience.
