Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.
Prior to coming to OLA, I spent 10 years in a Christian private preschool setting fulfilling a myriad of roles; Kindergarten Teacher, After-School Teacher, Preschool Teacher and Assistant Director. During that time, I worked diligently to seek curriculum improvements and academic excellence to provide a cohesive learning environment between all the classrooms; from the Toddler class to the Kindergarten Class.
I came to OLA in March of 2011 and was tasked with opening a new preschool under the strict guidelines of Title 22 and Community Care Licensing. I believe we have created a phenomenal preschool program where children are empowered to learn because we teach them they are important, loved and wanted in Jesus’ Name.
In my personal life, my husband is a Worship Pastor and we are very active in ministry in our church. I participate in Leadership roles throughout the church, including the Worship Team Praise Band, Technical Booth, Women’s Ministries, and I am an ordained Deacon. My Faith and Spiritual journey are very important to me and are a big part of who I am.
My husband of 28 years and I enjoy attending SF Giant’s Baseball games, kayaking, camping, Mendocino Coast and, of course, music. We have an adult son who is attending college at the University of Hawaii, Hilo.
