GET SET FOR SCHOOL CURRICULUM

All Classes utilize the Get Set for School Curriculum, the Preschool Curriculum designed by Handwriting Without Tears. GSS was created to “draw on different senses and encourage active learning. By touching, hearing, speaking and moving, children are better able to develop strong physical, social and emotional and cognitive skills.” The curriculum uses the “power of children’s ideas, interests, and abilities to foster academic achievement.” (http://www.hwtears.com/gss/educators)

Technology – All classes have access to Android pads and the Android pads are used in pull-out sessions with the Get Set for School curriculum.

Faith Formation – The Catholic Faith can be found throughout our program. It is who we are and what we do here at OLA Preschool. From morning prayers, daily intentions, Bible stories to our closing prayer of the day, you will find a strong faith-filled staff who strive to bring your child closer to the Father who loves them.

Field Trips - The preschool classes do have field trips schedule sporadically throughout the year; three – four per class. Transportation for field trips is not provided, therefore, we rely heavily upon parent or grandparent participation.
