Message from the Principal

Dear Parents, Students, and Prospective Families,

Our Lady of the Assumption Parish School (OLA) was founded in 1955 by the Sisters of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary. OLA has strived to provide its students with an excellent Catholic and Academic education. OLA is a school rich in tradition and community spirit. Our school motto is “Hands to Serve, Hearts to Love,” and this motto reflects the Christian love and service that we promote daily in our program. We are a fully accredited, coeducational parish preschool and elementary school (grades Preschool-8). We pride ourselves on our vibrant family atmosphere, high academic standards, and strong commitment to Catholic faith formation. We endeavor to make sure every child has an encounter with Jesus each day. We strive to know each child as an individual and to meet the needs of each child. The staff of OLA School will do all they can to help your child fulfill his or her learning potential, develop in the Catholic faith, and enjoy a rich, challenging, and meaningful educational experience. Our philosophy, mission statement and Schoolwide Learning Expectations convey the values and purpose of our school.

I invite you to explore this website to learn more about our school and our programs. If you have questions or would enjoy a personal tour, please call 916-489-8958 ext. 301.

Sincerely in Jesus Christ,

Robert Love
Principal
