Early Childhood Education

Early Childhood Education includes 3-Year Old Preschool through Kindergarten. Young learners learn best through play, movement and activity!

Early Childhood Education focuses on the minds, hearts & spirits of our youngest learners. We see your child as you do – as a child of God. We place significant importance on providing a great beginning at OLA. Your child’s love of learning starts here!

Talented teachers create a fun, creative environment. We nurture goodness building on what you teach at home: kindness, respect, helpfulness, compassion, and prayer. Confidence blooms from your child’s accomplishments, socialization and independence in our program.

OLA‘s Early Childhood Education includes 3-Year-Old Preschool through Kindergarten. Children learn in a play-based classroom with a daily balance of interactive structured learning and “free play” time. Materials are developmentally appropriate and support active learning while developing cognitive, motor and socialization skills. Weekly, Religion, Music, Art, Library, Spanish, Math, Technology and Science, are part of our curriculum. Daily, Circle time, free play, center time, art, music, outdoor play, and daily snack with prayer comprise our day.

Beyond the above, Students in our ECE Program:

Learn foundational precepts in reading, comprehension, writing, math, science, religion, art and music
Befriend older student “buddies” who model a love of learning, being a kind friend, and living a virtuous life.
Enjoy special Early Childhood facilities with outdoor play area
Experience immersion Library, Technology, PE, Art and Music with specialized teachers *Preschool attends immersion Library only
Benefit from our digital learning environment utilizing computers, SMARTBoards, and pads with age appropriate programs

There are two classrooms in the Preschool:

16 students per classroom and two instructors
