The Our Lady of the Assumption School Student Council is comprised of seven officers and ten representatives. One of the primary missions of the Student Council is to raise money for local charities. The primary recipient of these funds has historically been the St. Vincent de Paul Food Locker at O.L.A. In addition, student leaders strive to build community on campus through assemblies, pep rallies, spirit days, and contests. Officers of the Student Council also serve as spiritual leaders for the school community, preparing and delivering morning prayers and meditations three days each week.
Elections for officers are held in the spring for the following school year. Elections for room representatives are held at the beginning of school and again in January.
